I offer an artwork photography service for anyone requiring high resolution, high quality images of works for reproduction online or in print. I use a pop-up studio setup comprising of two flashguns with stands, soft-boxes and umbrellas, and a portable backdrop system with paper background rolls. My setup is ideally suited for photography of small-to-medium-sized 2D and 3D works. The setup can be installed at your studio, providing there is enough space and the room can be mostly cut off from external light. If you don't have sufficient space, I can hire a space within reach of Cambridge. Please contact me if you'd like to know more about space requirements.

I use a Canon 6D, 20.2 megapixel full-frame digital camera, which is tethered to my laptop running Capture One Pro 8, Adobe Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6. This means that images can be reviewed and checked on-screen during the photo shoot. My laptop screen is calibrated, and I use an X-Rite grey balance card to obtain an optimal white balance.

I provide high quality TIFF and JPEG files, which are suitable for use on the web and in digital catalogues. They can also be used in print - however, I do not currently act as a printing technician for the images. If you are producing a print catalogue, then you may wish to check with your printer that the images are optimised for their printing setup. For most purposes, such as printing business cards and postcards, or small leaflets and brochures, the images I provide will be suitable with minimal preparation. However, if you are producing high quality giclée edition prints, sometimes further preparation and refinement is required. I supply images in the Adobe 1998 colour space, at 300dpi, which will be suitable for most printing situations.

If you would like to know more about this process, and for my rates, please get in touch.
