Birds of Inchcolm

We got the ferry from South Queensferry to the small island of Inchcolm in the Firth of Forth. It's seabird nesting season, so there were a lot of birds about. Mostly gulls. We carried sticks to keep them away from our heads as we trespassed their territory. They watched us with suspicion.

I also photographed this blackbird, foraging in the grass as blackbirds do. It was a fun day out. For anyone interested in visiting the island, the Maid of the Forth runs boat trips from South Queensferry.
