Wandering around the old town, yesterday. Winter sunlight can be tricky to work with. Long shadows and high contrast. But in a way that suits the drama of the old town. I'm still getting to know Edinburgh, and photographing the streets seems like a way of acquainting myself with it. I'm fascinated by Edinburgh's urban landscape and architecture. It's also a nice way of going beyond my immediate local area and seeing other parts of the city, to remind myself that the outside world still exists in the time of COVID and lockdown.
