Lauriston Castle

Lauriston Castle in Silverknowes, north-west Edinburgh, dates back to the 16th century. It was extended in the 19th century and features a Japanese-inspired garden, parkland which is open to the public, and a nice panoramic view over the Firth of Forth towards Cramond Island and Fife beyond. Museums & Galleries Edinburgh have produced a short video explaining some of the building's history, which can be seen on their web page at https://www.edinburghmuseums.org.uk/venue/lauriston-castle.
