Back in November we spent a couple of days in Fife. Our first stop was the Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve, which I've wanted to visit for a fair while now. It certainly didn't disappoint. We only had an hour or two before the sun went down, so didn't get to explore everything. We walked over the dunes to the beach, and along the shore for a while, returning as dusk fell. It's a truly beautiful place.
As the sun got lower, the air grew colder and the colours of the land and sea became cooler too. I knew we needed to go back to the car and head off before the reserve gates closed, but I could have stayed out there until the last, tiniest bit of sunlight had disappeared.
